Article Processing Charge

APCs are the fees paid by authors, their institutions, or funding agencies to cover the costs associated with the publication of articles. These charges generally pay for the peer-review process, editing, publishing, maintenance of digital infrastructure, indexing, and ensuring that articles are freely accessible to the public immediately upon publication. The APC model is an alternative to traditional subscription-based publishing, where reader access is often restricted to those who have paid for subscriptions. Open access journals like IJELRS rely on APCs instead of subscriptions because their content is available for free online. These charges are typically incurred only if an article is actually accepted for publication, and they are not based on the length of the article or additional features like color figures. The author will be notified by email after the manuscript has been accepted during the review process. This email will contain further instructions on how to proceed further and where to pay the APC.
